Part 3: what you learn when you meet a remote mountain tribe, and drift into a situation of fear, loathing and crime
I left the next morning, and it was like being on the boat. It was magnificent being bonded, once again, with a tribe of 12 fellow hikers. We went up mountains, over rivers, and past several Kogi villages.
But there was no one there. It was mysteriously empty.
The Kogis have long fascinated me. They’re a famously secretive people – the stars of FromThe Heart Of The World – the film which tells of how The Kogis decided to come out of seclusion to warn Little Brother – that’s us – how we were must stop stealing things from Mother Earth, or she’ll die.
