Alone at breakfast,  Paula,  the proud bird,  is,  once again,  uncatchable.  There’s just the two of us in the breakfast bar.  She’s on breakfast,  and has made porridge to my exact specifications – with soya milk and ginger and frozen banana and cinnamon – but still,  she’s six hundred miles away,  while I eat the porridge,  glancing up from the book on Planet Medicine,  that I always read at this time.  What does she want?
